Plenty of oppressive bullshit goes down under the guise of nice. Every day, nice, caring, friendly people try to take our bodily autonomy away from us (women, queers, trans people, nonbinaries, fat people, POC…you name it, they just don’t think we know what’s good for us!). These people would hold a door for us if they saw us coming. Our enemies are not only the people holding ‘Fags Die God Laughs’ signs, they are the nice people who just feel like marriage should be between a man and a woman, no offense, it’s just how they feel! We once got a very nice comment on this site that we decided we could not publish because its content was ‘But how can I respect women when they dress like – sorry to say it, pardon my language – sluts?’. This is vile, disgusting misogyny and no amount of sugar coating and politeness can make it okay. Similarly, most of the people who run ex-gay therapy clinics are actually very nice and polite! They just want to save you! Nicely! Clearly, niceness means FUCK ALL.
I hate the negative connotations associated with things being abnormal or weird, because I like being able to say something is normal when referring to statistical weight,but that doesnt mean its better or that the abnormal bits are bad.
For example,
Its normal to be straight in that it happens more often than not.
But because of gay bashers abusing the language its become something that cant really be said without an explanation like “normal, in terms of statistics” etc without risking people thinking you are insulting them.
Its an understandable reaction from LGBT supporters, again,because the hate mongers abuse the language.
Thats not the only example,but its the easiest example.
Just another thing hate has taken from us.
Once someone linked to me a report from a news site and I was like “thats a comedy/spoof site, why are you bothered by it?”
And it turns out it was a legitimate news source, and was a republican website made by people who were unbelievably stupid
My rule is that I will sign anything anywhere for anyone, except bare skin. I used to say that I would happily sign bare skin, but A. I am a married man, and B. no one ever wanted me to sign their bare skin, and it got kind of depressing.

Just had nutella for the first time
There are very few things that live up to the hype around them.
Ocarina of Time is one.
Doctor Who is another.
Nutella has been added to that list.
